Dr Rupy Aujla – Associate & Founder, The Doctor's Kitchen
Dr Rupy Aujla is an NHS GP who loves creating healthy recipes using ingredients that have health benefits. In his work he has gone beyond the traditional remit of medical doctor to help patients, family and friends reach their healthier lifestyle goals.
This passion led to the creation of 'The Doctor's Kitchen' – a multi-platform resource to inspire patients about the beauty of food and the medicinal effects of eating well. Rupy creates delicious recipes and talks about the amazing clinical research behind the ingredients he uses on YouTube, Instagram and his blog. His new book, "The Doctor's Kitchen" will be released by Harper Collins in January 2018.
In 2016 Rupy teamed up with Adele as a guest expert on menu development at the Institute for Functional medicine’s AFMCP-UK™ 2017 – a 5-day intensive postgraduate foundation training programme for medical doctors and nutrition health professionals. Rupy shares Adele’s passion for creating healthy food that excites, while being versatile enough to fit into a hectic lifestyle, and together they created menus that not only reflected lecture content in the daily dishes, but also reflected the rich, cultural diversity of London by showcasing a different cuisine each day.
In his role as clinical adviser to the Royal College of GP's, Rupy has big aspirations to bring the concept of 'Culinary Medicine' to the profession globally.
